My name is Jay Glomboski of JG Autowerks, Inc. and I have been servicing automotive vehicles in the Rochester area since the 1980’s. When hi-top sneakers, mullets and Chevy good times vans were in service I started gleaning my mechanical knowledge at a young age. My drive for figuring out how things worked propelled me to become the man I am today. From small engine repairs which I deployed and sold as a kid to automotive schooling as a dealer level technician, I have always excelled at automotive repair and diagnostics. It’s been an unwavering passion of mine.
JG Autowerks was established in 2004 officially, but has really been in the works my entire life. When I started my auto repair shop at 160 East Ridge road in Rochester New York it was only a matter of time. All my lifelong clients have followed me here. I can’t get away from you people. Just kidding and thank you everyone for your support right from the beginning. I must be doing something right. JG Autowerks has excelled and has become the best automotive repair shops in our Rochester area. I continue on an ongoing basis to update and purchase new and dealer level diagnostic equipment and tools with excellent results. JG Autowerks is not only my business but also my LIFE and passion.
I have always had good mechanical dexterity and apply this to every day operations. I employ several employees where I demand excellence. I want every job to go out perfectly, and fortunately I do not accept second rate work. The most important thing we can do for our customers is give our all. This requires that we all pitch in together. I expect it from myself and I expect it from my people. We have a great crew and I thank them for putting up with my perfectionism. I have realized throughout the years that I am truly nowhere without my people. A sign of a healthy repair shop is a crew that doesn’t turn over every four months. By the way you are all fired (thanks Donald Trump). But alas and seriously, I am so grateful to have a crew to help me with my mission here at JG and to continue to deliver true quality services.
When it comes down to it I am just a regular family man. My lovely wife and family life have been amazing. My wife, daughter and stepdaughters have been instrumental in my happiness. Without them I would be truly lost (somewhere at a speedway). They have also been really supportive. Without their love and backing my drive to deliver the best automotive repair in our community would be in vain. I am grateful for all the blessing and truly wonderful things I have experienced going forward. As you can see my passion to succeed is fueled by my passion to give back to the ones I love.
Automotive repair is at a crossroads. The toolsets of yesterday coupled with the technological toolsets of modern day can work hand and hand. It is important never to forget where you came from. It is also important not to disregard the present. As I continue to grow and advance I bring to the table the cutting edge of auto repair. We pride ourselves on staying completely abreast to current technology while delivering a rock solid knowledge base that took years to accumulate. Automotive repair is ever changing and yet we must keep our fundamentals in sight. Total quality is achieved when these two seemingly very different roads converge.
